The Rebel Regiment's field show for 2005 promises to be one of their most exciting productions
ever. The band's musical selections are Pachelbel's "Canon in D", "Variations on a Theme of Hayden" by Norman Dello Joio, "Moondance" by
van Morrison, Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now", and "Farandole" by Georges Bizet. The show is entitled "Counterpoint: Individuality
Through Opposition". The music was arranged by Jay Bocook and the drill was written by Leon May. Mr. Bocook is known worldwide
as one of the premier arrangers on the planet and has written for the DCI World Champion Cadets of Bergen County for many years.
Mr. May has written for many of the most successful drum corps and marchings bands in the United States.
The Rebel Regiment opened their season with the Grand Championship at the Dorman High School Cavalier Clash. On Oct. 1st the band will perform
in exhibition at the James F. Byrnes Tournament of Bands. On Oct. 8th the band will compete at the Ridge View HS Tournament of Bands.
October 15th the band competes at the Travelers Rest Golden Invitational at Furman University. The SC AAAA Upper State championships
are Oct. 22 and the SC AAAA State Championships are Oct. 29. The following weekend Byrnes will compete in the Bands of America Atlanta
